02 / THE THREAD

CREATION HAS ALWAYS
BEEN THE CONSTANT.

CREATION HAS ALWAYS
BEEN THE CONSTANT.

I’ve been an artist, an entrepreneur, a restaurateur, a mother, a leader and a builder of communities.

At first glance, those might look like different lives. To me, they’ve always been connected.

I create.

Sometimes it’s on a canvas. Sometimes it’s a business. Sometimes it’s around a table, inside a community, or in helping someone see a possibility they couldn’t see before.

The medium changes. The instinct doesn’t.

03 / THE JOURNEY

I’VE BUILT. I’VE STARTED OVER. I’VE BUILT AGAIN.

I’VE BUILT. I’VE STARTED OVER. I’VE BUILT AGAIN.

I’ve built businesses. I’ve built a life in different places. I’ve raised a family, created art, opened restaurants, closed chapters and started new ones.

Some seasons looked like success from the outside. Others required me to begin again.

What I know now is that starting over isn’t going backwards.

Sometimes it’s the moment you finally get to choose what you want to build next.

04 / LEADERSHIP

LEADERSHIP ISN’T A TITLE.
IT’S A DECISION TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

LEADERSHIP ISN’T A TITLE.
IT’S A DECISION TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

I didn’t grow up thinking of myself as a leader. I just kept stepping forward.

Through businesses, communities, projects and around kitchen tables, I learned that leadership isn’t authority or control. It’s posture. It’s keeping your word. It’s being willing to do the work.

Sometimes it’s standing for what’s possible in someone before they can see it for themselves.

A great leader doesn’t create followers. They create the space for people to discover their own courage, responsibility and capacity to lead.

I believe that capacity exists in all of us.

Maybe leadership begins the moment we remember.

05 / PLAY

LIFE IS SERIOUS ENOUGH.

I’M NOT INTERESTED IN MAKING IT HEAVIER.

A long time ago, my sister gave me a question I’ve carried with me ever since: when everything feels stressful, heavy or far too serious — maybe what’s missing is fun.

So I ask myself: How could I make this fun?

Not because the work doesn’t matter. It does. I care deeply about what I build, the people I work with and the difference we can make. But meaningful doesn’t have to mean miserable.

We can build something extraordinary. We can change people’s lives. We can do work that matters.

And we’re allowed to have a damn good time doing it.
